Vanilla BBQ’d Lamb

The St.Francis 99 Cabernet Franc is a perfect match for this flavorful dish, which is terrific
for Easter or Christmas.
|
| 8 ounces extra-virgin olive oil |
|
|
| 4 ounces Spanish oregano |
|
|
| 2 tablespoons vanilla extract |
|
|
| 4 garlic cloves, minced |
|
|
| 1 whole lamb leg |
|
|
|
Combine oil, oregano, vanilla, and garlic.
Place lamb leg in a large baking dish and rub all over with oil mixture.
Cover and refrigerate for 72 hours, massaging the meat once a day.
Cook over an open flame using olive branches and hard wood mesquite.
Serve with St. Francis 99 Cabernet Franc. |
